The sick bed!

Hi Guys

This cute little thing was inspired by something my upline Michelle Last did as a swap a while ago.  Its was two top notes made into a little pocket with a little owl paperclip and an insert for a wish list.  Anyway I thought the little pocket looked a little bit like a bed & when I saw the nurse owl on Julies Japes I just knew I had to do this.  So here we have a sick owl and a nurse owl on standby!

This is probably self explanatory for everyone so I wont give details although if you want them please email me.

Get Well Wishes is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a US set I got on my recent trip to NY

And my poorly owl with the half shut eye, so cute!

Wednesdays Child - The Owl!

Hi Guys

Sorry I haven't been updating the last couple of days, have had all sorts of computer issues :(  Even now it is taking forever to load each page which is very annoying!  I have however been crafting away, just not able to show you, haha.

This card I did was inspired by one I saw on Julies Japes, a fantastic blog so if you get a chance have a peek!  Its one of those cards that can lend itself to anything, Thinking Of You, Happy Birthday, Get Well etc.  Here you go

This little owl is just soo cute and soo versatile, whenever I do things for children I use googely eyes for him as kids love things that move.

Here is a little close up of the cute little fella.

Fathers Day with Plane & Simple

Hi Guys

Good Morning and happy Wednesday!  Its half term so I'm afraid have been a little late on my posts :(  Hopefully will be a bit more organised towards the end of the week ;o)

I actually did a youtube video for this card which you can see on the blog side bar but here is the actual card.  Its a very simple one but really quite effective.

This one has a bow tied with the ribbon whereas the one above just has the ribbon wrapped around the card.

Satchel Card

Hey Guys

Well its Monday but it doesn't feel like it since the kids and my hubby are all off so its more like a Saturday, very busy and very loud.

This card is made using Rose Red CS which has been run through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die then again using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  I scored it in half then used the Word Punch as the clip to catch the long tag bit.  The brads are Basic Black which is a nice contrast to the Rose Red.
I have popped a sentiment onto some Very Vanilla CS and a little heart using the Small Heart Punch in some Rose Red DSP.

Here is a side view

And a peek inside...

See you soon

Faux Quilting - Maureen would be so proud!

Hi Guys

Todays offering is using the fabulous new Big Shot machine, the top note die & the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Papers ALL from the new Mini Catalogue.  I have seen quite a few people do the quilt effect.  I thought my mum in law Maureen would like this as she does proper quilting (with material), hope you like it Mo ;o)

I used my square punch and punched 12 squares from 3 different sheets of the DSP, bear in mind it is double sided so you are really spoiled for choice here. Then I stuck them all gto a piece of backing card then used the Big Shot with the Top Note die to give me my central piece.  This is then added to a piece of CS using dimensionals. I have used Pretty in Pink CS.  Tie a piece of Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon in a knot at the side.  The sentiment is stamped in Regal Rose and punched with the Large Oval Punch and a small flower button from the subtles range.

A little close up of the bow

And a close up of the sentiment with the little button, cute!
