More friendship

Hi Guys

Am scheduling some posts while on holiday so they may not all tie in nicely or be on a particular theme.  This one is a covered notebook that I actually did ages ago, before I went to Glasgow.  I did it for Gill but forgot to take it with me, aargh, senior moments!!!  Will get it to her at some point and she knows what I'm like ;o)

I've used Newsprint DSP which is one of my all time favourites, I sometimes go and just look over it, sad but true and I know that there are others out there just like me - you know who you are ;o)  Its hard to see but I've separated the inside of the notebook using tabs made using the Round tab punch.  The sentiment is from a retired set but I love it.

To make this I used
Card - Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Papers - Newsprint DSP
Ink - Basic Black
Embellishements - Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon
Tools - Round Tab Punch

Hope you like it

Time Flies

Good Morning!
I cant believe it has been 2 weeks since I posted, oh dear.  I need to be a little bit more organised but I have been crafting, yes indeedy I have been crafting.

I had my Wednesday card class with "The Usual Suspects" haha, what a bunch!  Craft nights feel more like a girls night out (sans the vino, of course) with all the laughing and shenanigans!  We had a new lady join us too and it was great how she slotted right in with the others ;o)  What a rowdy bunch they are!!  All joking aside they did work very hard and produce some lovely items.  So here are some pictures of what we created.

These are cute little sour cream containers (not sure if there is an actual name for them).  The ladies chose Blushing Bride & Concord Crush from the In Colours Designer Paper Series and as you can see, its gorgeous.  This clever bunch also added their own flavour making them their own.   Now I have the memory of a goldfish but I think from left to right these belong to Karen, Ginny, Becky & Louise (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

Here are the cards - we made a collage of them!  Am very pleased with the picture as they were all in their cellophane bags but still turned out great. There is a tiny bit of shadow but as I was perched on a chair and trying to twist to avoid having a big shadow - I'm obviously not that supple haha.  These cards certainly used a lot of punches but I'll think you'll agree it was worth it ;o)

Boys cards - Aaargh!

Hey Stampers!  I totally love that greeting and I hear it quite a lot when I'm trawling youtube looking for ideas.  That probably sounded wrong but I'm sure you have all done it.  Anyway the "Hey Stampers" greeting just sounds so chirpy & cute that I may have to steal, ahem, incorporate it into my blogs ;o)

My son Conal had a TWO birthday parties to go to today, a girls one and a boys one.  Girl cards aren't really a problem however I tend to struggle with male cards.  Having a peek through my stamp sets I spotted Beware Pirates and knew it would be perfect for a 6year old boy - now for the inspiration - youtube!  I found a couple of cards that I loved courtesy of Julie Kettlewell and it ended up being difficult to choose which one to send, result!

Here they are, aren't they fab?

And not to forget the little girls party, I created a cute little card using Make A Monster which was actually a lot of fun and was quite pleased with it....until we turned up and I realised it was a Prince & Princesses party - oops!  Dropped the ball there but hey we cant all be perfect, well not all of the time ;o)
