Wedding Card

Hi Stampers

Have just done a wedding card for a friend of mine.  She wanted the card to sort of match the original invitation she had received.  The colours were red and white and so I fell back on the trusty bride and groom hearts that I first saw on Julies Japes quite a while ago.  She seemed quite happy with it so it seems to have fulfilled the requirement ;o)

The DS Bridal paper is always perfect for wedding cards. The "bride" heart has been embossed using the

The names of the bride and groom and the wedding date is always a nice touch I think.

This was the wedding invitation the inspiration had to come from.

To make this card:
Card - Whisper White, Real Red
Embellishments - DS paper Bridesmaid, Pearls
Tools - Heart Punch, Sizzix Big Shot, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder

See you tomorrow

Satchel Card

Hey Guys

Well its Monday but it doesn't feel like it since the kids and my hubby are all off so its more like a Saturday, very busy and very loud.

This card is made using Rose Red CS which has been run through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die then again using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  I scored it in half then used the Word Punch as the clip to catch the long tag bit.  The brads are Basic Black which is a nice contrast to the Rose Red.
I have popped a sentiment onto some Very Vanilla CS and a little heart using the Small Heart Punch in some Rose Red DSP.

Here is a side view

And a peek inside...

See you soon

Hi Stampers!
Well after having my lovely in-laws staying all week, it wasn't until they were actually packing to leave that I realised they were going to a wedding tomorrow and not only that Chris & I know the couple too, so I would need to very quickly make two wedding cards.

The lovliest wedding cards I've seen I think are Julie Kettlewell's and so one of the cards is cased from her blog Jules Japes, the other is mine but still quite pretty.

Both cards use the Bridesmaid DS paper which is now retired but it is completely gorgeous.

The Heart Punch mimics the wedding outfits, so cute!  The flowers top right and bottom left are from one of the squares from Cute By The Inch (L2 Hostess Set)
