Post it holders

Hi Guys

I've been making lots of little gifts to give as extras at Christmas and whilst not technically Christmassy here is one that I've done quite a few of.

This is a basic post it note holder.  I love the simplicity of this design.  I've used the beautiful new hostess set Simply Soft.  The colour combination here is Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise & Old Olive.  One of the notebooks has the main colour stamped off and one doesn't, makes quite a difference.  I've sponged all the edges to get a nice soft effect.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Hope you like them.

Baby Shower Bag!

Hey Guys!

Still on the baby shower theme here is a little bag I made which fits three pairs of socks perfectly!  I love making this bag as it really is quite quick (I usually keep a template of 3D items then just refer back when I want to make again).

The sentiment 'hello baby' is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a US stamp set

Here it is from the top with the cute little socks inside, aw!

A closeup of the ribbon which is a double stitched wide grosgrain also a US item.

To make this card is used
Card - Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink - Bashful Blue
Paper - DSP Subtles
Stamps - Teeny Tiny Wishes
Embellishments - Bashful Blue Brads, Bashful Blue Stitched grosgrain ribbon
Tools - Boho Blossoms Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch

Hope you like it.  If anyone would like measurements then drop me an email.

See you soon

More Tri Fold Pocket Cards

Hey Guys

I did say that I was loving these cards and so have another couple to show you - I love them, and they are so quick and easy, my kind of card.  I'm still using the Elegant Soiree DSP but it looks very different depending on what pattern you use, the beauty of double sided paper!

The base cs this time is Baja Breeze with Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake and the accent colours

To make this card I used the same items as before with the exception of the different coloured cardstock and the ink this time is Baja Breeze.

Monday and March Frenzy!

Hi Guys

As the Neighbourhood jumbo wheel is discounted during March Frenzy I thought I would get it out and have a play.  This normally costs £8.50 but is reduced to £5.95 for the month of March, a real bargain!  This is a wonderfully versatile stamp which can be used for New Home cards, invitations or backgrounds, the list is endless!

I have used it here as a background stamp, with Loads of Love as the main stamp for this sort of, hope you feel better/get well soon card.

The Neighbourhood wheel is coloured in very pale, light colours so that the hearts are the main focus.  Obviously I used the stamp-a-ma-gig to have the little man sit properly in the truck but the hearts I stamped separately then cut out and put in the back of the truck.

The Neighbourhood jumbo wheel is all on its own in this card with one of the houses picked out as a focal point.  I like Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black together and think this works quite well although I have swithered a lot as to whether to add something, some cards are just like that though aren't they?  This is for a New House and so have stamped Congratulations in the Craft White Ink and layered it on an oval punch, scalloped oval punch and lastly the extra large oval punch! Phew that was a mouthful.

Have a great day

TGIF - at last

Hi Guys

Had a stamping morning with my friend Yvette who cant make the Wednesday evening class so we do the same class on a Friday morning, she brings her little man who is just adorable and sooo well behaved, aw.  It was lovely to have some crafting time and great for Yvette as she had an order to collect too.

Funnily enough I was just telling her how the UPS guy is my favourite man because he brings me Stampin Up goodies, then the doorbell rang and, you wont believe me but it was him!!  What are the chances, Yvette told him he was my favourite chap and to be honest he looked a little afraid, haha.

I kept crafting for a little bit after Yvette left and I wanted to show you this cute Easter card.

So here is my first Easter bunny although I'm sure there will be more where he came from!  I have used Chocolate Chip, So Saffron & Tempting Turquoise CS the paper piercing tool adds a nice touch to the scalloped edge and I've used Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  All of the bunnies bits are edged with Chocolate Chip Ink.

Have a great Friday

Time Flies

Good Morning!
I cant believe it has been 2 weeks since I posted, oh dear.  I need to be a little bit more organised but I have been crafting, yes indeedy I have been crafting.

I had my Wednesday card class with "The Usual Suspects" haha, what a bunch!  Craft nights feel more like a girls night out (sans the vino, of course) with all the laughing and shenanigans!  We had a new lady join us too and it was great how she slotted right in with the others ;o)  What a rowdy bunch they are!!  All joking aside they did work very hard and produce some lovely items.  So here are some pictures of what we created.

These are cute little sour cream containers (not sure if there is an actual name for them).  The ladies chose Blushing Bride & Concord Crush from the In Colours Designer Paper Series and as you can see, its gorgeous.  This clever bunch also added their own flavour making them their own.   Now I have the memory of a goldfish but I think from left to right these belong to Karen, Ginny, Becky & Louise (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

Here are the cards - we made a collage of them!  Am very pleased with the picture as they were all in their cellophane bags but still turned out great. There is a tiny bit of shadow but as I was perched on a chair and trying to twist to avoid having a big shadow - I'm obviously not that supple haha.  These cards certainly used a lot of punches but I'll think you'll agree it was worth it ;o)

Hi Guys

Well weather still isn't fantastic and everytime I go out I seem to get a bit wet, its playing havoc with my hair!  Have been spending a fair bit of time crafting which has been just great.  Made some Valentines Boxes for my son to take into his teachers (and he also wanted one for the lollipop lady, aw).

These were made using Pretty in Pink cardstock with the large swirly stamp from the Bliss SAB set in Versamark.  I have used the In Colour Blushing Bride ribbon and topped the box with the Amour from Artistic Etchings layered with the Oval and the Scalloped Oval punches on Crumb Cake, the tag is also Crumb Cake.  Conal was very pleased with them and although he really isn't keen on the colour pink, it was okay on this occasion and the boxes were for girls!

Thank Goodness Its Friday!

Hi Stampers!
I have been spending a little bit of time messing about with boxes getting them just the right size for whatever I want to put inside them and to be honest, it has been a lot of fun!  What's even better is that I have a bunch of little templates for boxes whether they will hold small 3x3 notelets or square cards 10cmx10cm or whatever.  Am feeling very pleased with myself.

I have used the Bliss set which is one you can earn FREE during sale-a-bration when you spend £45 with Stampin Up!  The box is made using Basic Black cardstock.  The band around it is made using Very Vanilla cardstock with the background stamped in Sahara Sand. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black then punched using the Oval punch and mounted onto the Scallop Oval - pretty!
