Post it holders

Hi Guys

I've been making lots of little gifts to give as extras at Christmas and whilst not technically Christmassy here is one that I've done quite a few of.

This is a basic post it note holder.  I love the simplicity of this design.  I've used the beautiful new hostess set Simply Soft.  The colour combination here is Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise & Old Olive.  One of the notebooks has the main colour stamped off and one doesn't, makes quite a difference.  I've sponged all the edges to get a nice soft effect.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Hope you like them.

See ya

Nappy Fold Pouch

Hi Guys

Here is another little nappy fold pouch using the Cheerful Treats DSP which I am loving.  I have also used the oval stamp from Happiest Birthday Wishes, a new Hostess set.  This stamp co-ordinates with the extra-large oval punch too so you can make this in no time at all!

To make this card is used

Cardstock - Whisper White
Paper - Cheerful Treats
Ink - Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Pretty In Pink Markers
Tools - Extra Large Oval Punch

Baby Shower Bag!

Hey Guys!

Still on the baby shower theme here is a little bag I made which fits three pairs of socks perfectly!  I love making this bag as it really is quite quick (I usually keep a template of 3D items then just refer back when I want to make again).

The sentiment 'hello baby' is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, a US stamp set

Here it is from the top with the cute little socks inside, aw!

A closeup of the ribbon which is a double stitched wide grosgrain also a US item.

To make this card is used
Card - Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink - Bashful Blue
Paper - DSP Subtles
Stamps - Teeny Tiny Wishes
Embellishments - Bashful Blue Brads, Bashful Blue Stitched grosgrain ribbon
Tools - Boho Blossoms Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch

Hope you like it.  If anyone would like measurements then drop me an email.

See you soon

Little Monsters

Hi Guys

Quick post today as I need to get my car in for an MOT and service this morning and the earlier I get it there the quicker I'll get it back.  As Conal has a few parties coming up over the next 3 weeks I thought I would get started on the cards for the kids, they are all turning 5!  Here they are, they are all pretty much the same, little monster cards for little monsters ;o).

Here is one a little closer, as you can see I've used the 3/4" punch to cut a 5 from the DSP!

To make this card

Less Is More Challenge - Week 16 - Butterflies

Good Morning!

Its Saturday and that means a new challenge from the lovely ladies at Less Is More, this week it's butterflies.  To be honest I'm not a huge insecty, birdy, butterfly person but with the LIM challenge I know its got to be, well less, than more ;o)

Here is my offering.  It doesn't translate quite as well by photograph as I'd hoped but have done a couple of close ups to help you see the effect better.  I needed the white underneath to make the butterfly stand out.  I like the way the acetate with the black in gives a sort of ethereal look to the butterfly.  The intricate design of the SU stamp is perfect here.

To make this card:
(All SU supplies unless stated otherwise)
Card - Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink - Black Staz On, White Craft
Embellishments - Acetate sheet
Tools - Extra Large Oval Punch

Hope you like it.

Make A Monster!

Hi Guys

I cant believe its Tuesday night already, not quite sure where the last two days have gone but at least I'm getting to update my blog having gotten a little behind with myself.  Have just finished making the card packs for my class tomorrow which is normally a great laugh so am looking forward to that.

This card was one for a little girl in Conals class but I wasn't sure beforehand whether she was turning 5 or 6 so thought I'd better leave it rather than get it wrong.  This little girl isn't especially girly so thought this fitted the bill quite well.  I saw Julie Kettlewell do this with the little monsters, punch them with a circle then layer on top of the large oval and thought it looked excellent - thanks Julie!

To make this card:
Card - Whisper White, Night of Navy, Real Red
Stamps - Party This Way, Make A Monster
Papers - DSP
Ink - Night of Navy marker, Real Red Marker, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise
Tools - 1 3/4 circle punch, Extra Large Oval punch

Monday and March Frenzy!

Hi Guys

As the Neighbourhood jumbo wheel is discounted during March Frenzy I thought I would get it out and have a play.  This normally costs £8.50 but is reduced to £5.95 for the month of March, a real bargain!  This is a wonderfully versatile stamp which can be used for New Home cards, invitations or backgrounds, the list is endless!

I have used it here as a background stamp, with Loads of Love as the main stamp for this sort of, hope you feel better/get well soon card.

The Neighbourhood wheel is coloured in very pale, light colours so that the hearts are the main focus.  Obviously I used the stamp-a-ma-gig to have the little man sit properly in the truck but the hearts I stamped separately then cut out and put in the back of the truck.

The Neighbourhood jumbo wheel is all on its own in this card with one of the houses picked out as a focal point.  I like Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black together and think this works quite well although I have swithered a lot as to whether to add something, some cards are just like that though aren't they?  This is for a New House and so have stamped Congratulations in the Craft White Ink and layered it on an oval punch, scalloped oval punch and lastly the extra large oval punch! Phew that was a mouthful.

Have a great day

TGIF - at last

Hi Guys

Had a stamping morning with my friend Yvette who cant make the Wednesday evening class so we do the same class on a Friday morning, she brings her little man who is just adorable and sooo well behaved, aw.  It was lovely to have some crafting time and great for Yvette as she had an order to collect too.

Funnily enough I was just telling her how the UPS guy is my favourite man because he brings me Stampin Up goodies, then the doorbell rang and, you wont believe me but it was him!!  What are the chances, Yvette told him he was my favourite chap and to be honest he looked a little afraid, haha.

I kept crafting for a little bit after Yvette left and I wanted to show you this cute Easter card.

So here is my first Easter bunny although I'm sure there will be more where he came from!  I have used Chocolate Chip, So Saffron & Tempting Turquoise CS the paper piercing tool adds a nice touch to the scalloped edge and I've used Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  All of the bunnies bits are edged with Chocolate Chip Ink.

Have a great Friday
