Thank you with Hearts & Flowers!

Hi Guys

Uurgh, weather is rubbish today....lots and lots of rain.  Hopefully it wont last and the sun will break through at some point today, it is summer after all ;o)

This card is one I've copied from the catalogue and did at my Wednesday night card class.  The girls liked it a lot and I do too.  It was very easy the main effect being the polka dots and the twine with the pegs.

To make this card I used
Card - Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink - Basic Black, Old Olive, Melon Mambo
Stamps - Happy Moments (retired), Simply Said
Embellishments - Twine, pegs (non SU)
Tools - Sizzix Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch

Hope to see you again soon

More Tri Fold Pocket Cards

Hey Guys

I did say that I was loving these cards and so have another couple to show you - I love them, and they are so quick and easy, my kind of card.  I'm still using the Elegant Soiree DSP but it looks very different depending on what pattern you use, the beauty of double sided paper!

The base cs this time is Baja Breeze with Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake and the accent colours

To make this card I used the same items as before with the exception of the different coloured cardstock and the ink this time is Baja Breeze.

See ya

Tri Fold Pocket Card

Hi Guys

So today I have been pretty busy doing lots of crafty bit, preparing for my after school class on Monday and my card classes BUT still found time to do a bit of fun stuff for myself - lovely.  I first saw these Tri Fold Pocket cards on Dawn's Stampin Thoughts and have made quite a few of them recently, in fact I love them and suspect this may not be the only post I do on them ;o)

Am also uploading a video tutorial of the Tri Fold Pocket card which you can see if you go to youtube and search under stetsonstacey.

This card uses Designer Series Paper, Elegant Soire which I love.  This card has Soft Suede as the base with Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze as accent colours.

This the card open.  You can have it open either way, in this one I chose to have the pocket on the left and the top right hand fold open out.

This is the little insert inside where you can write your message or place a gift card.

To make this card I used
Card - Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Ink - Soft Suede
Stamps - Happy Moments, Just Believe
Paper - DSP Elegant Soiree
Tools - Punches - 2 3/4" Scallop Circle, Large Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, Oval, Scallop Oval

Hope you like it.

I'm back!

Hey Guys

I'm back!  New York was amazing and I had a wonderful time, I even spotted Sylvester Stallone in a jewellers shop where I mercilessly elbowed my way to the front to get some pics and a little video, I just love him, it made my holiday.  Then Maureen and I went to see the new Robin Williams dark comedy on Broadway and got a picture with him afterwards too.  So thats the reason I'm a bit behind with my blog.

Talking of Stampin Up! I did order some things from a demo called Chi Nguyen in NYC, she was just lovely and the card she brought me was simply stunning - thank you Chi!!!  Think I may have been so excited with my haul I forgot to say it at the time.  Will show you the card soon.

I did a little box today that I'm going to give to the teachers as an end of term gift.  I've put a small L'Occitane soap inside which is perfect to say thanks.

The soap inside

And a fancy side view

To make this box I used

Card - Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron
Stamps - Happy Moments
Ink - Basic Black
Papers - Playdate DSP
Embellishments - Subtles Brad
Tools - Two Step Bird Punch (for the leaves)

Hope you like it.

Thank you...and you!

Hi Stampers

I am soo excited about this card I've just done - I love it!  I found this technique for leaving a non embossed middle panel in your cards at Caroline Skinners blog, stampinupandbranchingout.blogspot.com.  I am always amazing and touched at how generous stampers (crafty people in general) are with their ideas & how happy they are to share them.  Thank You Caroline ;o)

This is the card I've done although I did have to cut the template twice as I don't have a steady hand at all and my lines kept being a little off (even using a rules would you believe it)!

Was a bit annoyed that my non embossed square is a little off centre but I doubt the recipient would notice (hoping she doesn't)

I've used the rock and roll technique for the butterfly, I first saw that at Michelle Lasts Quarterly training and loved it although I don't always get it right ;o)

And a little bitty sentiment from a set I've been trying to get a hold of for ages!

To make this card: (All products are Stampin Up unless stated otherwise)
Card - Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink - Pretty In Pink, Crumb Cake, Rose Red
Stamps - Strength & Hope, Happy Moments
Tools - Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Am going to submit this one into A Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge - Things With Wings

Hope you like it.
See you

Less Is More Challenge - Embossing - Week 15

Hey Guys

This card is an entry for the LIM challenge and it was very quick to do but quite effective I think.  I've used masking technique to only stamp part of the stamp then embossed it in black.  Using the sponges I've coloured around the trees but still within the masked area creating the illusion of a square.  I've finished with a little sentiment on the bottom.

To make the card:

Card - Whisper White
Stamps - Lovely As A Tree, Happy Moments
Tools - Heat Gun, Embossing Powder (Black), Post Its, Sponge Daubers
Inks - More Mustard, Not Quite Navy
