Weddingy Things

Hi Guys

I forgot to say yesterday but Yvette one of the ladies who comes to my class has been making some wedding invitations, favours and table settings for a friend.  She showed me them and they were just gorgeous and I'm so annoyed that I didn't take a picture to show you, was very understated and elegant, just lovely.

I've made a card that was inspired by one I saw on SCS but I'm sorry I cant remember whose :(  Its very simple and can double as a Wedding, Engagement or Anniversary card.  As you may have noticed I like cards that are versatile!

And again the close up

To make this card: (all products are Stampin Up unless stated otherwise)
Card - Real Red, Whisper White
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Stamps - Fun and Fast Notes
Embellishments - Basic Rhinestones, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Real Red

Hope you like it.  See you tomorrow.

The next card in class

The next card we made was the same technique, heat embossing.  Again we used versamark and embossed the sentiment with Black embossing powder.  The ribbon and cardstock are Pumpkin Pie, the other cardstock used is Basic Black & Whisper White.

It is actually quite difficult to make out the embossing but you can see the & is much darker than when you stamp it normally.

The last card we did was this one, pink with the same sentiment.  The main focus of this card is the vellum embossed flowers.  This idea was cased from Julies Japes blogspot & the girls made lots and lots of gorgeous flowers all different shades and designs and I'm annoyed that I didn't take pictures as they were so lovely!

Once the flower outlines are embossed they are coloured on the back of the vellum with Marker pens then glitter is added with some glue for the final sparkle.  I love them!

See you soon

Less Is More (LIM) challenge

Hey Guys

I put this card together with the Less Is More challenge in mind.  I thought about the one I did with my class and thought it would be an ideal format for the LIM.  I have made it a baby card with just a simple babysuit and the congratulations sentiment.  Have used the crimper a little bit at the bottom to add a little dimension but there is lots of clean empty space here.

The image is from A Slice of Life, Level 1 hostess set.

Hope you like it.

Oops!

Hey Guys

I completely forgot the 3rd card we did.  Another senior moment ;o)

This was a simple card but very effective.

Again the girls have personalised their cards by using their own image and sentiments, lovely!

Here is one that I did earlier, that does sound a bit Blue Peter ;o) just to show a different angle amd the raised panel on the front.

To make the card above:

Card - Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Stamps - Fox & Friends, Fun & Fast Notes
Embellishments - White 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Clips Assortment
Tools - Dimensionals

Mothering Sunday

H i Stampers

It is Mothering Sunday and I have had the loveliest day.  I didn't get up until midday though and although that does sound bad, in my defence I was singing last night with Mojo and didn't get home until 2am, not sounding quite so lazy now I hope.

Chris took Conal out for the morning so i could enjoy my lie in.  He even brought me in a Starbucks, it doesn't get better than that.  The three children all made me handmade cards which was soo lovely, and no, they didn't use Stampin Up products!

These cards are similar, both on the wedding theme and I like to make a stock of wedding cards as there does tend to be a glut of these over the summer months.  The main stamp set and the colour scheme are the same for both cards.

Very Vanilla and Regal Rose CS are coupled with Chocolate Chip Ink.  The jumbo wheel is So Whimsy and this is really a versatile item, I have used it so much and often colour in the circles using the marker pens.   The 3-tier cake is from Fun and Fast notes and again I've used the marker pens as I didn't want the sentiment from the stamp.  The Happy Anniversary is from Cheer & Wishes and I've used the White Craft Inkpad for this and a little strip of Chocolate Chip satin ribbon to finish it off.

For this card I've used the Very Vintage jumbo roller and used the sentiment from the wedding stamp separately and layered on top of the ribbon.

Alrighty I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day - I think it may even involve some crafting.

See ya
