Hi Guys

I'm back!  I am no longer a Stampin Up! demonstrator but still use loads of their products but lots of others too.  I have a couple of very pretty cards to show you today.

The first one is one I made for my friends daughters first birthday, luckily she is called JoJo so I could fit the name on easily.

I've used Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette & Marina Mist card stock.

Love this one.

Valentines Day

Hi Guys

Todays offering is a gorgeous set of cards and envelopes that I cased from a blog and I can't remember the name, the cards aren't exactly the same but the measurements and the envelope idea is from this lady.  If you know who you are please let me know and i'll shout it out next time.

Today is Tuesday and I'm trying to get organised as I'm singing at Ronnie Scotts in London tonight (Soho)  its a fantastic venue so very excited.  I'm backing for Sian who you can check out on www.siancross.co.uk I am actually going to be wearing a dress which I rarely do for singing, just don't feel especially able to groove in a dress - in direct contrast to the lovely Julie Kettlewell, another SU demo, who moves superbly in evening gowns no less ;o) You can check out her blog for some awesome photos.

So here are the cards and envelopes.  The colour combo is Real Red, Pretty In Pink and Very Vanilla, sooo cute!

The DSP used is from the Colour family stacks, great value at £19.50 and the envelopes are run through the big shot with the envelope die. The sentiments on the cards are from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The Very Vanilla part is punched out using the Decorative Label Punch.

Hope you like them

Morning Mocha & Elementary Elegance

Hi Guys

Have a gorgeous card for you made using the lush Speciality Designer Series Papers Morning Mocha.  I just love this paper and have been using it a lot! Completely run out of some of the designs already ;o)

This card was very simple as I basically grabbed some colours used in the colour scheme for the paper and went to it.  Stampin Up! certainly makes it easy.

I'ved used Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Very Vanilla with the papers and both of the black butterflies are the flocked card stock, as is the part in the main card.  These butterflies were done in the big shot with the Beautiful Wings embosslit.  The sentiment is of course from Elementary Elegance and I would have been shocked and horrified if it wasn't instantly recognisable as I've used is a lot recently!

Elegant and understated, my favourite ;o)

Hope you like it

Sale-A-Bration-Elementary Elegance Boxset

Hi Guys

I'm still using Elementary Elegance which I absolutely adore but this time it has a different feel.  I teamed it with the Paisley patterned paper to make 3 simple cards and a matching gift box.  The basic colour scheme is Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze (all within the colours of the paper).  Simples!

Here are the 3 cards with the box.

Hello card, using the sentiment from Elementary Elegance.

I've used the large flower punch and the 5 petal punch for this card.

Very simple with only a pearl for adornment.  This card was inspired by Stampin Pretty who did a trio of cards and a little box, so cute!

Hope you liked it

Sale-A-Bration using Elementary Elegance

Hi Guys

Here is another card using the Elementary Elegance set which I absolutely love.  The colour combination here is Soft Suede, Basic Black and Whisper White.

This card using a technique called versamark resist.  You stamp whatever design onto glossy white card stock, let it dry completely then rub over it in the colour of your choice with a sponge dauber.  The area stamped in versa mark will resist the ink giving a lovely effect.  I've used the curly label punch to highlight the happy birthday sentiment.

Light was not great today so sorry about the funny colour of the card.

Here is one a little closer.

Remember this stamp set is only available when you spend £45 or more, it is not available to order.

Hope you like it.

....Pennants and Presents!

Hey Guys

Well, I am loving getting back into a routine after Christmas, I just love knowing where I'm supposed to be and what I'm doing.  Feel like my head is still spinning a little after Christmas ;o)

This card uses Whisper White, Poppy Parade and Blushing Bride and the Pennant Builder punch.  The main image is a retired one but any cake or present would go perfectly in here.  The Just Add Cake papers co-ordinate perfectly with these colours.  The presents are coloured using a blender pen with Blushing Bride and you can't see very well but the spots on the top are glittery using Dazzling Diamonds.

Little close up to show the glitter although the light had pretty much gone so not a fab picture.

Hope you like it.

still more....yup, Pennant Parade!

Hi there

I know I know you have probably seen enough Pennant Parade from me but just a few days more, I promise!   I am putting together a special pack to purchase that will enable to you lots and lots of fabulous cards using the Pennant Parade clear mount stamp set and matching punch.  Its always nice to see all the different things you can do with one set or one punch and it highlights how much value for money they are!

Okay my next card is a Happy Birthday.

As you can see I've stuck to the same colour scheme as the past few days and I've used So Saffron, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Blushing Bride and Baja Breeze.  Some embellishments, brads, twine and a little diamante heart. Simples!

Hope you liked it.

Pennant Parade

Hi Guys

Todays card continues the theme of using Pennant Parade, Pennant Builder Punch and Just Add Cake DSP, I seriously cannot get enough of them.  I wasn't too keen on the paper at the beginning but once I started using it I've decided I love it!

The base card in this is Wild Wasabi with So Saffron and Whisper White and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The numbers are from Timeless Type Junior Alphabet and I have had so much use from these! The bottom of the Wild Wasabi shows the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border peeking out and I'm sure you will be seeing a lot more of that, it is just so versatile.

Ah, who doesn't love ice cream!  I for one adore it, in fact it is my number 1 weakness!! If there is a tub of Ben & Jerry's or Hagen Daaz, I just can't resist!

I think this is a pretty one and perfect for a summer birthday!

More Pennant Parade

Hi Guys

The cards I have for you today are using Pennant Parade and the Pennant Builder punch, I just love this combo, it really makes it so simple to create lovely cards.

I'm using the Just Add Cake DSP with Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock.  The ink colours used tie in with the DSP and they are Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Poppy Parade.

Again sticking with the same DSP and colours which match it we have another card.  The base colour here is Blushing Bride with Early Espresso and Baja Breeze which is a nice colour combination.

I am making a lot using Pennant Parade at the moment as it will be my workshop theme for January and into the beginning of Sale-A-Bration.

Hope you like it!

I'm back!

Hi Guys - I'm back!

I have a new camera and am very happy to be able to resume my blog ;o)

I have been busy over Christmas as I had my grandad staying with me for the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas then we all went to Glasgow on the Boxing Day.  Its always busy seeing everyone but so lovely to catch up with everyone.  We were especially happy to see our nephew Logan who is 8 months old who had an operation 2 weeks ago.  His skull had fused together far too quickly and made him pretty ill so they had to go in and split the skull, cutting him from ear to ear over the top of his head.  As you can imagine we were all very worried but he came through it brilliantly and the doctors are very happy with his progress.  Here are a couple of pics, he is just gorgeous!

My card for today is using Pennant Parade and I have been making quite a few which I will share with you over the next few days.  this is a baby card using So Saffron, Baja Breeze & Whisper White.  It was pretty straight forward and I've used the Pennant Builder Punch and the 3/4" circle punch and the sentiment is from Curly Cute.  The background was created using the same So Saffron run through the big shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.

Hope you like it.

Apologies!

Hi Guys

Please accept my apologies for the lack of posts but my daughter Meg managed to drop my camera so am without on at the moment.  Hopefully will pick one up soon (perhaps Santa will bring one).  Didn't realise just how much I used it.

Hope you are all having a gorgeous crafty time.

A New Baby Girl!

Hi Guys

This card was so enjoyable to make.  A friend of mine had a baby girl on the 1st December and so pink was the order of the day.  I love making baby cards, just feels lovely.

I've been desperate to get my Pennant Parade and Pennant Builder Punch out to play and this was the perfect opportunity!  I've used Pretty In Pink card stock and DSP and I've punched out the scalloped pennant in Crumb Cake and stamped the inner using Pretty In Pink ink with the dotty Pennant Parade stamp.  I then used the Just Perfect Alphabet to stamp out the word baby and punched out using a 3/4" circle punch.  The pennants are then punched in each corner to allow me to pop the twine through and there you have it.  A little congratulations sentiment at the bottom.

Sorry the lighting isn't so good for the photo but you get the idea.

Pennant Parade             122742  is £16.95 for a whopping 13 stamps!
Pennant Builder Punch 122361 £15.50
Together they total £32.45 (plus p&p £4.95)

If you order both of these from me in the month of December I will include a Pretty In Pink Stampin Write Marker (value £2.95)

Hope you like it.

Craft Class

Hi Guys

I decided at my craft class last Wednesday to take a couple of photos.  There were only 4 of us (including myself) and I suddenly realised the table was a pigsty!  So after giving the ladies a telling off ;o) I got the camera out.  Here you go...

Oh dear, what a messy lot!  It was Karens birthday and she brought in some gorgeous chocolates to celebrate so thanks for that Karen and Many Happy Returns!

We made the beautiful bows, amongst other things and I have to say they turned out beautifully.  This was something the lovely Dawn Hunter showed me at convention (on Stampin Up! grid paper no less).

This the one above was Juanitas and the two below were made by Karen and Ginny.  Correct me if I'm wrong ladies.

Great night had by all I think.  Hope you liked it.

See you soon.

Happy Birthday Butterflies

Hi Guys

Todays card is for a friend of mine and so I wanted to make it a little bit special.  She is definitely an outdoorsy person, dog walking and horse riding etc  so I've opted for a little bit of the outdoors on her card in the shape of butterflies.

The colour combination here is Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder, both In Colours.  I've chosen a step card to showcase the butterflies and the First Edition stunning Designer Series Paper.  Love it!

Hope you like it

Post it holders

Hi Guys

I've been making lots of little gifts to give as extras at Christmas and whilst not technically Christmassy here is one that I've done quite a few of.

This is a basic post it note holder.  I love the simplicity of this design.  I've used the beautiful new hostess set Simply Soft.  The colour combination here is Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise & Old Olive.  One of the notebooks has the main colour stamped off and one doesn't, makes quite a difference.  I've sponged all the edges to get a nice soft effect.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Hope you like them.

See ya

Christmas Easel Calendars

Hi Guys

I did another Christmas Fair on Saturday which was great, they really do get you feeling Christmassy.  All of my snowmen chocolates went as did my santa place settings which is great!  Need to make some more of them for my Christmas table ;o)

I did a couple of Easel Calendars which I really like. These are very simple to make but very effective and a lovely gift for someone.

I have used the now retired Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper on both of them.  The eyelet border punch is gorgeous on things like this and really finishes them off!

This one used mostly all of the same materials with a different coloured ribbon!

Hope you like them

Take care

Craft Fair things

Hi Guys

Have been putting a lot of bits together for a couple of craft fairs and thought I would show you.  The first is a little bird house ornament made using the milk carton die and tab top and bird punch.  This is very easy to do and a lovely little gift especially over the Christmas Season.

Snowman Soup is basically a packet of hot chocolate, some mini marshmallows and a stirring stick.

Snowman chocolate bar!  This is a chocolate bar covered in Whisper White paper and decorated to look like a snowman.  This was cased from Dawns Stampin Thoughts, thanks Dawn!

Jumbo paperclips for girls.  These can be bookmarks or just decoration for a little girls room.

I also made these goodie bags, one for boys and one for girls!

This cute little man is topping some chocolates and the colours tie in nicely I think.  These chocolates were from Tesco and you got quite a good sized box for around £4.00

Jumbo paperclips for boys!

Shopping notepad.
